1st Annual Kid's Ice Fishing Derby Registration Form

Registrant Information (Kids under 18)

*Up to 5 entrants can be added at a time. If you need to submit more than 5 entrants, please submit a separate form. Entrants must be signed up by a parent or guardian.

Each registration will include 2 slices of pizza and a hot chocolate inside of the 1812 Brew Pub.  Dock access to the lake is out the back deck of the 1812 Brew Pub on the Lake.  A table, fire pit and Ice shanty will be set up where fish will be entered. An Ice Auger will be available for use. You supply your own equiptment (tip up, Jig ole, etc.)

Live bait will be available for purchase.

RULES

2025 Outskirts 1812 and Elite Marine First Annual Kids Ice Fishing Derby at Sackets Harbor, NY Rules:

1. NYS regulations must be obeyed. All contestants must register prior to fishing.  Register here or at the 1812 BREW PUB Sackets Harbor, Friday Night 6pm-8pm & Saturday 7am-11am. Each registration will include 2 slices of pizza and a hot chocolate inside the 1812 Brew Pub.  Dock access to the lake is out the back deck of the 1812 Brew Pub on the Lake.  A table, fire pit and Ice shanty will be set up where fish will be entered. An Ice Auger will be available for use. You supply your own equipment. (tip up, Jig ole, etc) See how to Ice fish.  Live bait will be available for purchase.

2. Enter your fish at the table station in front of the 1812 brew pub. A cleaning station will be provided and a guide to show how to clean a fish. The Derby starts at 9AM and ends at 3PM. Prizes will be drawn starting at 4PM inside the 1812 brewery. You must be present at the brewpub to win!!

   
   

3. All fish must be entered alive and may be kept or released.  Saturday February 15th -16 is New York State Free Fishing and no permit needed.  All Free.

4. Only one, legal size fish can be entered per contestant (Kids can enter both a pike and a panfish). Pike must be 18”.  Kids Panfish can be a Crappie (at least 10”), Bluegill or Perch.  Bring your registration slip with you to the weigh-in table.  

   Online registrants – bring your receipt on your phone or printed copy. You will fill out your fish entry card at the 1812 Brewpub on the lake.  You can gain lake access off the Brew Pub docks. A table on ice will be where you will enter your fish.  Warm up in the red ice shanty and firepit on the lake.

   
   

5. PRIZES: There will be 1st, 2nd, 3rd, places for pike and crappy (all pan fish). All children will receive a participation medallion from Outskirts1812 & Elite Marine. All donated raffle baskets and 50/50 will be drawn starting at 4pm.  YOU MUST HAVE THE TICKET YOU RECEIVED WHEN YOU ENTERED for the Children's awards and YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN THE BASKETS, NO EXCEPTIONS. THE DRAWINGS WILL CONTINUE IF AFTER 5 MINUTES THE PRIZE IS NOT CLAIMED!!  YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE IN ATTENDANCE FOR THE 50/50.  YOU WILL BE CALLED TO COLLECT THE MONEY.  ALL proceeds OF THE BASKETS AND 50/50 WILL BE DONATED TO THE SACKETS HARBOR FIRE HALL.

7. The derby is put on by Outskirts 1812 and Elite Marine with support from our local business sponsor 1812 Brew Pub On The Lake and guidance from our local NYS DEC.  Our goal is to get children outside with families, learn to ice fish while enjoying winter in the North Country supporting community service.

WAIVER

In consideration of you accepting this entry, I, the participant or parent of the participant if under the age of 18, intending to be legally bound do hereby waive and forever release any and all rights and claims for damages or injuries that I may have against Outskirts 1812, Elite Marine and 1812 Brew Pub on the Lake and all of their members assisting with the event, sponsors and their representatives, volunteers and employees for any and all injuries to me or my personal property. This release includes all injuries and/or damages suffered by me before, during or after the event. I recognize, intend and understand that this release is binding on my heirs, executors, administrators, or assignees.

All entry fees are non-refundable. We reserve the right to postpone or cancel the event due to circumstances beyond our control such as inclement weather, emergency or as required to protect the safety of participants and staff. No refunds will be issued under these circumstances. In case of cancellation, all registration sign-ups would get a chance to win a donation basket. 50/50 will be drawn and the person notified. We reserve the right to change the details of the event without prior notice. 

By submitting this entry, I acknowledge (or a parent or adult guardian for all children under 18 years) having read and agreed to the above release and waiver including the no refund policy.
